Why Good Power Management Matters

Application Example: Battlefield Command

Modern battlefields are a high value mix of personnel, equipment and systems. Providing reliable power to support equipment and systems, and protecting those valuable peripherals from severe transients or other damaging conditions is an essential part of battlefield strategy.

Reliable power distribution and control means supporting both local decisions and remote control and management. And unlike other industrial or commercial PDUs, power distribution for the  battlefield must operate reliably in a wide range of hostile conditions, protecting the needs of the mission.

Product Overview

  • For aerospace, defense, industrial and scientific applications where it is essential to manage and protect high value assets in harsh environments.
  • Spectrum Control’s best in class AC & DC Power Distribution Units provide secure control and reliable protection unlike most COTS vendors who trade off reliability & ruggedness for cost.
  • We do this by building a ruggedized product with a full-featured modern controller supporting the latest security and interfaces combined with current, voltage and temperature monitoring on a per port basis.

  • Designed to meet MIL-STD-810H Methods: 501.7 Procedure II, 507.6 Procedure II, 514.18 Procedure I, 516.8 Procedure IV and Ve, and MIL_STD_461G: CS101 | RE102.
