Chip Attenuators

Spectrum Control's Powerfilm brand chip attenuators come in two varieties: "Temperature Stable" (standard) and "Temperature Variable" RF attenuators.

Standard RF attenuators reduce the RF power uniformly at all temperatures. Temperature-variable chips are designed to reduce their attenuation at elevated temperatures to provide the optimal response needed in signal-leveling applications including amplifier circuits, receivers, up/down converters, and phase-matched arrays.

SMT attenuators are used in amplifier circuits, receivers, up/down converters, phase-matched arrays, and switching applications. Depending on desired specifications, chip RF attenuators are fabricated on BeO, Aluminum Nitride, or Alumina ceramics.  Non-standard dB values and additional tinning options are available upon request.

Other RF attenuator designs include coaxial, flange and pill SMT, manual step, and programmable products.
