Spectrum Control, Inc. is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of high performance custom control products and systems. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our Advanced Ceramics and Antenna Business located in State College, PA. Relocation to the State College area is required.

The individual filling this position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned product line(s) including the creation and execution of short and long-term strategies to drive sales and profit growth. This position requires marketing leadership for the assigned product line(s) and will require close interaction with Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

-Lead new product development and improvement programs

-Develop time-integrated plans with sales, engineering, and production to introduce and bring product to market

-Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return on investment data; and establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing

-Develop product pricing and pricing strategies

-Attainment of sales and profit targets

-Develop product marketing materials

-Assess product market data and market competition; identify new target markets

-Create and execute product line business plan; prepare short and long-term forecasts and related data/reports

Our ideal candidate will posses a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field and 5+ years product marketing experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. This individual filling this position must posses outstanding communication and presentation skills; dynamic leadership abilities and sound judgement; and excellent computer skills. Ceramic product and/or Antenna product marketing or sales experience is highly desired.

Spectrum Control has several openings on second and third shift for Manufacturing/Production Operators to join our Advanced Speciality Products manufacturing group. These are full-time opportunities with benefits and shift differential.

These jobs require the ability to stand for long periods of time; good or correctable vision; very good manual dexterity; excellent eye-hand coordination; and strong attention to detail. The ability to regularly move about the production area while carrying or moving up to 15 pounds is requred. The ability to multi-task and meet goals/deadlines is necessary to be successful in this type of job. The ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

The Spectrum Control Advanced Specialty Products business is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our growing State College, PA team. The individual filling this management position will oversee the full range of operations for our Antenna Products Unit.

The General Manager is responsible to direct, plan, and coordinate the activities of their division to sustain and improve operational efficiency as well as work toward the achievement of established business objectives.
Duties include:
- Full responsibility for P&L for all division products
- Forecasting
- Work closely with all support & technical personnel to execute business plan
- Supervise and monitor employee development and performance
- Maintain sound customer relations by achieving/implementing customer projects on schedule and within budget
- Provide operational guidance and analyze effectiveness of operation; manage resources to meet business plan objectives
- Manage processes and reporting activities such as financial, productivity, efficiency, and quality compliance
- Provide direction in developing and integrating new technology

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 8 years of manufacturing management or leadership experience
- Technical understanding of or experience working with Antenna design and Antennas/Antenna Systems
- Ability to work effectively with senior level management
- Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience with and understanding of financial management techniques and operations management
- Proven leadership abilities; ability to lead, direct, monitor and maintain activities of a fast-paced organization
- Electronics, government and military high reliability experience preferred

Spectrum Contol is a technology-driven global market leader in a vast array of control products and systems. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the State College, PA operations of our Antenna & Advanced Ceramic Business.

The individual selected for the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design, layout and manufacturing of antenna and related products; providing concepts and designs for tooling, fixtures and machines; developing methods & tooling to take product from prototype to production stages; providing automation or improved handling for existing operaitons and to incorporate computerized control of equipment in operations.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of five to seven years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of application of microprocessors to automated systems
  • AutoCAD Proficient (3D modeling preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven experience in the design of tooling, fixtures, and equipment assembly of small electronic components
  • Ability to work with detail and accuracy, and to analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems quickly
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
